Here's a little bit of inspiration from a cozy room on a frightfully windy night here in Ottawa:
- This speech decrying all those 'follow your passion" speeches as bullshit (including her own)
- Another blogger has summarized her favourite points from A Spoonful of Sugar: A Nanny's Story, many of which cozied their way into my mama's hart and have nestled in nicely.
- A reminder from Buddhist leaders and Pope Francis to call for our leaders to enact serious change and progress at next month's Paris conference. (If you feel strongly about this, please write a nice note to your political representative to express your wishes)
- Jamie Oliver cooking easy pizza with his children and things get real. I love this reminder that in the parenting arena, no one is immune from child antics.
- Ten quotes from dearly departed Mr. Rogers. Read them and then bring a little more light and love into your next encounter.
- This line from Sufi poet Rumi: "Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion." And me? I am going to go quietly meditate on what it is to be full of ecstatic motion, against the backdrop of the howling hurricane winds outside.
