Baby Shaming

Have you ever wasted an afternoon looking at dogs being shamed on this website? No? Me neither. What about this one with cats? Just what I thought, I don't have time for nonsense like that either.
It is quite pleasing to look at cute babies, isn't it? I think so. It's funny to look at my own cute babies and imagine all the stupid things they do, and pretend they know what they're doing. It's really easy to attribute adult behaviours to them when I am engaged in middle-of-the-night mental warfare with a teething baby (or set of babies, as the case may be).
So this afternoon, in between the other really important things I do in the afternoons, I came up with a fun way to shame my babies.

They are nine months old now and though they get into more mischief than I think is reasonable, they are cute and that wins me over. It's not just the mischief of one baby multiplied by two. It's at least three-fold or four times the mischief of one baby. I think because they egg each other on, strategize during late-night crib meetings and find the weak points in my supervision capabilities with their big sister Abby.
Hailey can bolt pretty fast, so if there is an un-turned garbage can out or a dog dish that needs spilling, she's your girl. Robin is comparatively tame, but does enjoy defecating herself at completely inconvenient moments and illustrating how dirty my floors are by collecting free-roaming dirt on her belly as she scootches around.
I love watching them be twins together. They play, they engage in a nude royal rumble during their daily bath, they squawk to each other in their primitive twin talk. I am so excited to watch their bond grow.
